Please let me know in which year did you start your beauty
education & training & which year did you start your first salon or
where are you currently working ?
Answer –
I started my beauty career in 2003 when I did a small beauty
course from a local parlor and I started my own parlor in 2004. I was running
that parlor like any other beautician runs with basic kit based services till I
attended a career seminar by LTA school of beauty. I use to read about LTA in
magazines but the seminar changed my life. When I visited the academy in 2012
it changed my perception of beauty education. I was explained the complete
course contents of Salon Graduate Program which covers Beauty, Hair, Makeup,
Nail & SPA. It was then around 8
years that I was running my Parlor but I again decided to start from the
scratch.
Salon Graduate Program or popularly known as SGP changed the
way I use to think of parlor services. After completing SGP from LTA I changed
my parlor completely. I changed my services that I offer, I changed the
products that I used- I changed my small 270sqfeet parlor to a 480 sq feet
Salon. Yes now I call my parlor as Anupama’s Beauty & Hair Salon.
Question –
Does you client feel difference in services provided by you
& your neighborhood & what is the difference ?
Answer-
Since I was running my parlor in the same area where I have
my Salon now, I do have the same set of clients visiting me but there is a huge
difference now. Earlier I had to run after the clients now clients wait for me
& my consultation. One big thing I learnt in LTA was Client consultation
& treatment planning which is different from what others offer in my
neighborhood salon. Maintaining Hygiene & cleanliness is another thing
which we learnt everyday in LTA which is helping me now when I see happy
clients in my salon.
My income has increased almost four times of what I was
earning when I was running my parlor. My clients are satisfied and I have six staff
members now whom I have trained at par to provide standard service to all my
clients. Grooming is one more important thing which I learnt at LTA and see the
difference when my staff is in uniform & well groomed, my clients feel
comfortable.
I will thank each one of the staff members of LTA – the
trainers, the housekeeping staff for imparting such wonderful knowledge and
helping us at every stage of learning. I will definitely recommend students who
look forward to beauty education then It has to be training with LTA.
